Benidorm is a city on the western coast of Spain in a region called Costa Blanca. Benidorm happens to be somewhat surrounded by mountains, but the industrious citizens have decided to create many towering structures of their own; the city has been called the “Manhattan of Spain” due to the number of skyscrapers and high-rises in the area.
Benidorm has a particularly odd climate compared to other regions in Spain: the mountains stop the wind from most sides, so the sky is rarely overcast, giving the city a high average of sunlight. The temperature in Benidorm ranges from 15˚C in January to 30˚C in August during the daytime.
